Wellington Construction is proud to be the PEI dealer for STEELWAY pre-engineered steel buildings. Steelway has manufactured steel buildings across Canada and around the world since 1976 — arenas and entertainment venues, commercial and manufacturing facilities, and buildings for industrial, recreational, institutional and agricultural clients.

A pre-engineered building is a rigid steel frame: tapered columns and rafters engineered by Steelway for the span, the snow load and the wind on this Island — with purlins, girts and metal cladding. The frame arrives on a truck. Everything under it and inside it is ours: the footings and slab, the erection, the floors and the finishes.

Pre-engineered steel shows up all through the company's project pages, sometimes as the building we designed and built, sometimes as the frame another contractor set on the concrete we poured.
- Testori Americas
- 52,600 square feet of pre-engineered and conventional steel in Slemon Park, design-build: a plant making interior fit-ups for fast trains and airplanes, plus a two-storey office.
- O'Leary Rink
- A 31,000-square-foot pre-engineered building attached to the existing arena complex: wooden bleachers, dressing rooms, fibreglass and metal boards.
- Harrington Farms
- All the concrete for two large Steelway pre-engineered buildings and three separate wood buildings, at the experimental farm operated by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
- Green Acres Produce
- Concrete for two buildings, one conventional steel and one Steelway pre-engineered, about 55,000 square feet, at the Woodstock company's potato washing and processing plant.
- Atlantic Turbines International
- Three major expansions at the Slemon Park Aerospace Centre: steel structures, overhead bridge cranes, masonry, steel studs and drywall.
